How Do Payouts Work?​

The PoN relay allows builders to pay the payoutPool to gain access to network revenue. The payments are split equally among active validators in the Payout Pool and rewards are distributed every 7 days. All payments made to the Payout Pool during a reward cycle are frozen and will become available once the cycle is over and the next one begins.

The rewards can be divided into two categories: claimable and deferred. Claimable rewards are claimed from the pool and sent to the payout address specified during builder registration. Deferred rewards, on the other hand, are held until the end of the current reward cycle and then moved to the claimable rewards.
